Good Samaritan

I'm really a big family person...so I'm willing to do just about anything for my family. So I get a call today from my father if I would be willing to do a favor for him. Since I was at home and bored out of my mind I said no problem. Well, it seems my cousin's (the one that wrecked my brother's car)girlfriend ran out of gas on Jimmy Carter. So I was asked if I could take some gas to her and put it in her truck. I didn't mind. The only promblem was I new the general area where she was, but I couldn't find her! HAHA! Because I was going by where my dad and Grayson said she was. Don't get me wrong they told me the right road, but they failed to mention that she was in a business complex. I kept looking for her on the main road when she was pulled in a parking lot the whole time! That's my adventure for the day :-)

A little worried

Starting in the fall I will finally be in my last year of school. The problem is I will be doing student teaching, and my school encourages us, the students, to not have another job because the workload will already be hard enough as it is. So I will quitting my job at the end of September so I can focus on my schoolwork. All this summer I am trying to budget and save so I will have enough for tuition, books, car payment, and gas. My mother already said that she will pay for my tuition in books, and I will pay my car payments and gas.

My problem lies with the fact that I need to save up at least $3,000 dollars to make it to next June. I am working more this summer, but I just don't think that it is enough to earn that much money. Also, I have a cat that I feed and take care of so that's money out of my budget to care for. Then I have to take this GACE test to be certified as a teacher and it cost $85 dollars each time I have to take it. I need to trust in the Lord that he will provide everything, but sometimes it is just so hard to do that...

Summer Vacation!

Every year my family and I go to Gatlinburg, Tn for our family vacation. I LOVE Gatlinburg...there are so many things that can be done. This year was a little different 'cause my boyfriend was able to come with us for a couple of days. It was fun while it lasted. We went swimming a couple of times, went on a hike (that had me sore for a couple of days), and went to this place called Cade's Cove. I love going to old homestead and seeing how the people lived back in the early 1900's. I wish I could have lived during that time to see how they really lived, but then I wouldn't have my wonderful family or friends that I have now.

Now, it is our last day here...I'm sad, but also glad to be going home so that I can see my kitten...oh my boyfriend also ;-) Well, we are about to go to this Italian place down the street. I'll talk to ya'll later!
